Experience a night ride with the “Grafschafter Museumsbahn” in the spirit of the 1950s!
The “Grafschafter Museumsbahn” will run on the night of August 29–30, 2026, using the historic railcars of Graf MEC von Neuenhaus, traveling via Nordhorn to Bad Bentheim.
The special train departs at 9:45 p.m. from the Neuenhaus station, with passengers able to board at the Nordhorn station at 10:10 p.m. on Track 1 and at the Quendorf stop at 10:40 p.m. The train is scheduled to arrive at its final destination, Bad Bentheim Nord, around 10:50 p.m.
In Bad Bentheim, passengers will have the opportunity to take part in a night watchman-led tour after the train’s arrival. The meeting point for the night watchman tour is: Unteres Burgtor, Schloßstraße 0, 48455 Bad Bentheim. After the tour, the museum train will depart around 1:10 a.m. and return to Quendorf, Nordhorn, and Neuenhaus.
Prior to that, on the evening of August 29 starting at 7:00 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to tour the vehicle hall at Nordhorn’s Klukkerhafen to view Graf MEC’s historic vehicles. Admission is free.
Visitors have the option of taking the museum train from there to the starting point in Neuenhaus. Departure is scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m. This time is subject to change due to operational reasons. While the train is stopped in Neuenhaus until departure at 9:45 p.m., passengers may not leave the passenger cars. Use of the restrooms is not permitted during this time.
